Mark, I don't know of something that meets such specific needs. It would be very desirable. There are sampling systems which will quickly evaluate the presence of large groups of bacteria, but nothing so specific as e-coli. It may exist, but I don't know of an instrument and then there is the issue of conformance with regulatory standards.

Mark, By the way, thanks for letting me know about this. If it works even as a screening tool, it could be very powerful.
