A very interesting question ...

A very interesting question posed. It is critical to understand that India is a water stressed nation. We have the ways and means to manage the situation, but there is a lack of will to do so.

Lets get to the specific question on how we can provide more water to the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh & Rajasthan. Actually there is really no shortage of water in these states. It requires better management of the water. India produces anywhere from 62-67 billion liters of wastewater every day. This is a lot of water, but we do not collect this wastewater, treat it, recycle for reuse. Ideally wastewater out of sewage is excellent for reuse in agriculture. Now say you want to direct this water for other applications then this can also be done.

We are in the process of setting up a 100% recylced wastewater plant in Gujarat for reuse in Industrial and Agricultural applications. This saves good potable water for drinking and cooking purposes. We have inquiries from Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh for similar projects. So in a few years time there will be a policy to reuse and recycle wastewater.

Besides this rainwater harvesting as check dams or conventional roof top rain water harvesting should also be adopted aggressively.

In terms of building toilets the one factor that is missing is to provide water to the toilets for flushing and washing purposes. This can be well planned and organised by recycling the wastewater as well as using fresh rainwater that has been harvested.

Bonjour

Hello

Another beautiful speech which is in the tone of the present time. Need water, recycle wastewater. Not sure not.

These waters have a precise qualification: USEES. What does this imply?

Soiled, polluted, dirty, contaminated, chemical, etc.

Using wastewater for agriculture is a crime against humanity.

I hope that these projects will never come to an end. Here in France, farmers no longer want muddy residues produced by sewage treatment. They are a veritable pollution for agricultural land.

The discharge of liquid from the stations is totally contaminated by the dissolved pollutions.

Farmers are looking for solutions to clean the potato washwater from their production. This water thrown into the ditch transforms this derneir into a veritable desert of pollution and pestilential odors.

If one adds to these washes, the health budget of the countries will make a huge leap.

Contaminated drinking water project was done by us in 2014. In Rural Karnataka for a drinking water scheme the Karnataka state government set up drinking water vending machines using RO (Reverse Osmosis). After RO water needs to be disinfected and the Karnataka State Government specified chlorine dioxide as post treatment. We not only supplied the Oxy Chlor Generators (Chlorine Dioxide Generators) but also the precursor chemicals to treat the drinking water.
