composting toilets - they don't require water and they convert the waste to resource that can be used rather than a pollutant being discharged into the waterways.  They are easy to build and can be installed anywhere.

Great idea Katie: All things need tweaking to make them more viable. During this process you would want the odor to be removed within minutes. Begin the accelerated breakdown of the organic compounds and eliminate any possibility of a single pathogen surviving this natural process.  Must use an RNA microbe. DNA microbes do not have the genetic code for this natural function.  Species name is ARCHAEA. Product name is also ARCHAEA. (DOMIAN,KINGDOM etc.) If you need help just let me know.
