Dear Judith: I have used the wider (34-mil) elements on seawater reverse osmosis project in the Middle East and they do make a real difference in terms of freqncy of RO system cleaning and improvement of perfomance of RO systems treating waters with heavy fouling potential. The cleaning frquency has been reduced from one every months to once every 4 to 6 months. In additon, the overall product water qulaity and prodcutvity of the SWRO system imporved with 10 to 15 %. My obsevations at other installations confirm the benefits of these membranes.
