RO Brine Line design

Published by

I would like to know what kind of instrument and valve should be installed to 1 stage RO brine line, which is connected to 2 stage RO inlet line.

Also, I would like to know more about the purpose of these instruments, valves, etc.

Valves are not required ...

Valves are not required between stages as said by Mr. Vinayak but yes you can choose to install the differential pressure transmitter or just pressure transmitter in order to review membrane performance. However this is not necessary depends on requirement - Increase in differential pressure will trigger for membrane cleaning.

@ why  do you need such ...

@ why  do you need such equipment / valve to control flow to 2nd stage inlet? It will create more pressure on first stage membrane so quality of fist-stage water there will be more TDS .There risk of membrane fouling/rupture.Though you want it you can go  for solenoid operated valve with proper PLC programming.
