Our company is Atlantis Technologies (www.atlantis-water.com) and we are working in the oil, gas, mining, and power generation waste water sectors. We build desalination systems using capacitive deionization technology. I have lots of chemistry questions for the group, but I will start off with some pre-treatment problems we see. We struggle with removing iron below 1 ppm. This is critical to the lifetime of RO and CDI systems. Anyone know of an effective technology or pretreatment technique that will work with high salinity streams (10,000 to 150,000 ppm)?
