In my knowledge, there is no easy and efficient protocol for nitrate/phosphate estimation by HPLC. You have to make select HPLC Column by referring research papers. However, For Water Samples, you can use APHA Method 4110 (Ion-Cinematography). For Soil Samples, you can use Brucine-blue or yellow color methods for nitrates and Olsen’s Method for Phosphorous estimation.
