Thank you very much for sharing your story. You provide such insights and data that woke me up about the water situation in Pakistan. "Only 40 dams and reservoirs in the last 50 years" itself is an interesting statistics. Further, when you have plenty of rain fall to catch, people / Govt do not seem to do enough to retain water for the people. While political and policy challenges rather seem universal, Pakistan Govt / Politics, with which I am unfamiliar, can be tricky because I am not sure how far Democracy is embraced by the people and the govt. As with Energy issue, if you look around the globe, Renewable Energy is gaining such a momentum, in particular, Solar... wind etc. I do not know the weather in Pakistan - just skimmed through the forecast today, Sunny well above 35 C degree. So I am guessing you are getting quite a bit of sun as well. That says, renewable energy option has a great potential to your country. Communities around the world are now increasingly adopting renewables to their energy utility supply allocation. Lastly, fully agree with you in terms of transparency and greater participation of all the stakeholders involved there, but I also have to say, it's not just Pakistan, but universal issue - Did you hear what happened when Big Earthquake hit northeastern Japan - the Utility and Gov't. completely failed to disclose information regarding the real situation of the failed nuclear power plant, as well as safety surrounding radioactive agents. Pakistan nevertheless seem to have a lot of obstacles to go through.
