Dear Jaydeo, my intention to post the question to know the reality about the irrigation in command areas rather than the construction of dams. i AGREE WITH U that the construction of most of the dams, especially the big dams is really very good, in most of the states. The situation regarding: WHEN, HOW AND HOW MUCH to irrigate seem to be far from the actual NEED; resulting in huge water losses and low OVERALL WUE.
