Hello Donna, HSBC is working with WWF in the field of improved agriculture and river basin management in Asia. Working with several farmers in asian villages, WWF has revolutionised the way they farm. As a result, farmers report an average net profit increase of 50 per cent. Farmers replenished the health of the soil by introducing more natural methods, such as using organic compost, crop rotation, and nutrient management of the soils that support crop growth. They also started to control their irrigation systems more effectively which reduced the quantity of water they were drawing from the river.
