It's sad that soda is often sold for less than bottled water (at least in the U.S.) on a per unit basis. It is not uncommon to see a 1 or 2 liter soda bottle on sale for $0.99 - $1.99 while bottled water is often sold for $0.99 - $1.99 for 0.5 liter.
