Water governance is a key to sustainable water management which subsequently is a key to sustainable development as well as adaptation to climate change impacts. In my country (Zambia) water governance is becoming more and more robust each day with key reforms being implemented as well as with some increased funding here and there. The major limitation is ownership of the water management issues and programmes by the general public (not everyone fully appreciates or understands the importance and key issues to water management).
