Reverse osmosis (RO) is only process to reduce TDS more than 500. A RO could reduce TDS level upto 90-95%. So a ro could reduce your input water TDS from 2000 ppm to 150-200 ppm which is safe to use for drinking purpose (WHO recommend any TDS less than 500 ppm is good)

What is the method of measuring TDS? If it is by Conductivity Meter what is the factor you have used?
