Access to safe water simply ...

Access to safe water simply means everyone has the opportunity to consume clean drinking water which is a basic human right. There are possible measures that I think can possibly contribute to the above concern of clean water accessibility that includes;
- The need to identify and quantify water stress areas as well as available water sources within the community; This can possibly enable a well-directed resources.
- Key government and private sector Investments in Research and Development such as ways to maximise water sources. This can typically include investments in water technologies such as atmospheric water generation (EcoloBlue products), Nanotechnology, Solar/wind water pump generation and Neu G7 water activator among many others.
- There is also an urgent need in widespread community training on the values of water resource conservation by facilitating them in water catchment protection such as swamps and rivers which normally act as natural filters for bad chemicals and water cleansing.
- Maintenance services should be availed as soon as possible in places where there are water distribution breakdowns. This can be made possible by enriching water resource personnel with the needed equipment needed to identify and fix the problems. We can as well fix water leakage sensors at critical points in the water distribution systems to monitor pressure changes and water diversions to alert the right personnel in time in case of any abnormalities in the water flow network.
- Local leaders should be mandated to spearhead community collaboration and should be able to send the right information in case of water-related challenges. This can be enhanced by continuous sensitisation and government support to these leaders with the right training.
- Finally, but not the least, there should be "a political will" by our governments to prioritise investment in water resources in their program portfolio because "the wealth of a nation solely depends on its health and clean water access for all is the right medicine".
