Sorry to hear about Lake Erie. Monitoring the bloom may be great data for a research paper. But if the monitoring is finished we may proceed with eliminating the bloom. I believe you mentioned undesirable nutrient compounds leaking into the lake. Nature has its own bloom cleaner. The RNA species of microbe called Archaea has the proper genetic code for reducing organic compounds into their elemental state. This eliminates the food source from the bloom. Bloom dies off and then becomes organic matter for the Archaea to eliminate. Results; clear clean and potable water.  Lab tested of course.
