Well now, are household RO systems, or are they correctly called something else.  It seems that the true use of the term RO has been improperly used by some to directly sell to home owners.  If the water purified and tested by the water distribution company for toxic metals, pesticides, etc., why would it need to be further purified, except to enrich the pockets of salesmen using scare tactics.  Before you respond, know that I have helped design, sold and installed some of the larger RO systems in the world.   There is a place for RO.  Perhaps the Ministry of the Environment understands the proper application of this technology.
