Urine Diversion Dehydrating Toilets - Still relevant?

UDDTs are not used as they are supposed to, primarily because the end-user is not aware most of the times, and then aware, the end-user doesn't have a value-proposition for the nutrient value of the end-products. 
Where can we further go with this otherwise, a decent sustainable, self-contained, onsite sanitation system?
