Civil Engineer, MSc. Çağlayan SERT , born in 1983 in capital of Turkiye, Ankara
After completion of preliminary and high School education, I had been started to Bachelor of Science Degree program in Civil Engineering Department of Mİddle East Technical University in 2001. Then, after graduation from Bachelor of Science, i continue with Master of Science Degree program in Hydromechanics in Middle East Technical University.
At the same time, after graduation from Bachelor in 2006, I worked as a project engineer in water resources development in HidroDizayn/Lahmeyer Company.
Then, between years 2007-2009, I worked as a Research and teaching Assistant in Civil Engineering Department of T.C. Atılım University. I did some achievements such as set-up of Hydraulic Laboratory and its calibration works, materials of construction lab accreditation procedures. I also gave laboratory session lectures in Numerical Methods and Fluid Mechanics.
Between 2009-2010 i had been working as a project Engineer in ERGES Engineering Co. In this duration i have been involved several Dam, Small Dam and Hydroelectirc Power Plants projects as well as in their planning stages.
Then in 2010-2014 years interval, I had been promoted to Project Manager position in ERGES Engineering Co. I had been completed national and international water resources projects. Projects includes hydraulic stucture design, hydrology and hydropower. I also worked in lots of Due Dilligence studies.
2014 to 2017, I had been working as Project Manager in NFB Engineering and Consulting Co in Ankara. I had been involved and managed huge projects of Türkiye such as Sakarya waterbasin Master Plan, Northern Aegean Basin Master Plan, Aegean Sea Coastal line Drinking Water Supply Planning Project, Kızılırmak Basin Flood Risk Management Plans and Aegean Sea Coastal Line Flood Risk Management Plans. Those projects includes dam design, hydrological modelling, 1D-2D hydraulic modelling, flood detention, flood risk management, Flood risk mapping, municipal water supply both from surface and ground water, land use determination, crop patern determination, population projection works etc.
In 2017 we have founded our Company, i.e. CVS Group Engineering Co. with my two colleagues. We had achieve several projects in Hydropower sector, several dam projects, CFD analysis studies, design both hydraulic structures and passage bridges in railway Transportation area in a >400 km project.
the time being i am still doing my Phd in Hydromechanic as a Phd candidate.
