BEST WATER NGO - WATER EDUCATION

On March 21, 2018, India Water Foundation was honoured with the Water Digest Water Awards “Water Warriors - United for Water!” 2017-18 under the Category “BEST WATER NGO - WATER EDUCATION” on the eve of the World Water Day 2018 in New Delhi supported by Ministry of Water resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, GOI and UNESCO. It was presented by the Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Water Resources, RD & GR, MoWR GOI. Other dignitaries present were Sh. U.P.Singh Hon’ble Secretary, MoWR GOI, Sh. S. Masood Husain, Chairman, CWC, Sh. Rajiv Ranjan Mishra DG, NMCG, MoWR, GOI, Sh. R. K. Gupta, Chairman, WAPCOS. The august gathering had the mix of leading environmentalists, thinkers, academicians, industrialists, journalists,religious leaders from across India.

IWF is engaged in generating heightened public awareness about water, sanitation and environment related issues in the Asia-Pacific region regarding the vital role water and environment play in human lives, its impact on health, economic growth, livelihoods of the people and calamities that wreak havoc due to non-judicious harnessing of these natural resources

On receiving this prestigious award we feel honoured, humbled yet motivated by this recognition of our continuous and rigorous focus on water and environment sector. This pat on the back enables us to work in water and its dependent sectors with added enthusiasm.
