Murray River

The Murray River is the longest in Australia at 2,508 kilometres (1,558 miles).

With head waters in the Australian Alps, it meanders in a westerly direction to the mouth, opening to the South Ocean. The river supports various agricultural endeavours in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia including dairy, viticulture, rice, almonds and citrus.
