I am a registered Professional Environmental Engineer with 16 years of real world experience and I hold my Permission to Consult with APEGS. Over the course of my career I have had diverse experience as a Unit and Division Manager, Project Manager, surface and groundwater treatment, wastewater treatment, troubleshooting SaskWater’s facilities when problems arise (ranging from chemical issues to equipment and treatment issues), construction of Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities, asset management, construction supervision, hydraulic pipeline modeling, pipeline design and installation, contract preparation and administration, vendor evaluation and selection, environmental monitoring, conflict resolution, and applied research.
I am a technical engineering expert in SaskWater for all things related to water and wastewater treatment issues including the research and application of new technologies and instituting pilot projects throughout Saskatchewan. I am also directly involved in all troubleshooting problems at SaskWater's water and wastewater treatment facilities in the province. Additionally, I am one of the panel members who review and provide comments to newly proposed provincial and federal upcoming water and wastewater regulations and/or changes to the existing water and wastewater regulations and I am a member of the Province of Saskatchewan Aquatic Invasive Species Committee. I am a standing active member of the Standards Council of Canada and sit on the following committees: SMC/ISO/TC282, SMC/ISO/TC282/SC1, SMC/ISO/TC282/SC2, and SMC/ISO/TC282/SC3.
Lastly, I was the project manager for the green field construction of the Cupar Water Treatment Plant which was the only water treatment plant in SaskWater's history of 34 years to win an award for construction excellence.
