Shifa Mathbout

Shifa Mathbout is a Full Researcher at Climatology Group ,University of Barcelona, a member at the CLICES Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness project. Shifa completed her PhD at Department of Physical Geography, University of Barcelona, in 2016 (PhD Program: Geography, Territorial Planning and Environmental Management). Her PhD was funded by ERASMUS MUNDUS European Fellowship. She did two post docs at Faculty of Applied Physics/ Meteorology and Astronomy at University of Barcelona and University of Almeria, supported by ERASMUS MUNDUS . Shifa did a Research Stay Abroad at Department of Geography, University of Giessen, Germany. Mathbout´s research has focused on studying the spatial and temporal analysis of precipitation, droughts, climate extremes and climate risk.
