About

Similade Adeodun is a doctoral researcher and a consultant whose career objective is to combine research career and consultancy services with the goal of promoting sustainable development and raising new generation ideology, capacity, entrepreneurs as well as professionals with similar interest. In pursuit of his vision, Similade has bagged a degree in Water Resources Management and Agro-meteorology from Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta; a Master degree (M.Sc.) in Environmental Control and Management from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife; and currently on African Union Scholarship at the Pan African University Life and Earth Sciences Institute (PAULESI), Ibadan for PhD in Environmental Management.

 

Mr. Adeodun has volunteered and in some cases led several local, national and international organizations. Similade is a pioneer member and Advisory Board member of International Students Environmental Coalition; Chief Environmental Officer of Aqua Planet Nigeria; and a member of Pan African Matrix, Ghana. He is currently the Lead Advocate and President of Pan African Scholars Environmental Alliance (PASEA) of the African Union Commission. Other professional engagements and qualifications include: member of Nigeria Environmental Society, member of Nigeria Conservation Foundation, member of World Safety Organization, and member of Nigerian Water Supply Association.

 

With the thirst to add requisite values and advocate for sustainable development, Similade had been mentored, consulted, and contracted in the fields of water resources, waste, renewable energy and environmental management. Notable amongst are consultee for the review of National EIA Guidelines by Federal Ministry of Environment, Nigeria; water and environment consultant at Aqua Planet Nigeria; project manager at Renewable Energy Network Solutions, Nigeria; and Ondo State Coordinator and certified Safety Instructor for World Safety Organization.

 

Similade is an effective communicator, enthusiastic professional and an exceptional leader with a proven ability to work and deliver effectively in a busy and dynamic environment. His Keen interest is in water and wastewater treatment, waste recycling, renewable energy technology, environmental impact assessment and mitigation, and climate change adaptation strategy.
