Do your bit for the environment!
As a water company, Anglian Water has legal obligations around managing environmental quality. You’ll join the team that work to meet environmental obligations.
It’s essential that we work out where there could be water supply and demand issues, and look how the demand on our water supply will change in the future, all with the view of finding solutions to these issues.
Your primary focus will be to undertake modelling of our water supply and demand systems, for example modelling a new reservoir or new pipelines, in order for the team to analyse and determine which is the best solution.
As a team we rely on a range of modelling tools to help develop our Water Resources Management Plan. These include:
- MISER – Water network mass balance model – the regional model is used by the Water Resources team to inform development and appraisal of water resource options to meet future supply demand challenges.
- EBSD – Our Economics of Balancing Supply and Demand (EBSD) model – follows an industry recognised method for developing a supply-demand balance and least cost appraisal of options.
- PyWR - Water Resource simulator model using Python.
- Aquator – Water Resource system model used to develop the supply forecast.
As a valued employee, you’ll be entitled to:
- Personal private health care
- 26 days annual leave – rising with length of service
- Flexible working
