Brown and Caldwell, a national environmental engineering firm, has an exciting opportunity for a senior-level engineer to set the strategic direction for the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants department in the Phoenix Office, manage and execute work on projects, help ensure successful client relationships, and pursue business development opportunities.  This position will work closely with technical experts and other leaders in the Desert Area, Cal-Desert Region, and nationally across the company, and participate as a member of the Phoenix Leadership team. In this role, you will help manage and work on design and construction phases of infrastructure projects for municipal and private sector clients in our Phoenix, AZ office. You will provide civil/mechanical engineering support along with project management duties for a variety of projects which may include planning studies, evaluation, design and construction related activities for wastewater, water and storm water conveyance systems, pumping systems and related facilities.

Job Expectations:

In this role you will work with and be mentored by local and national senior technical staff. Our ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, be highly organized and capable of working in a diverse team environment and handling multiple tasks with competing priorities. This position will also act as the Project Engineer or Project Manager on some projects.  You will be working with technical staff and executing the following types of work: 

This role is for an engineer with experience managing others and successfully delivering work involving water and wastewater treatment projects in the water and wastewater industry. This person will utilize consulting expertise to manage and execute work on projects and to help ensure successful client relationships, while developing new key clients in connection with planned targets.  The W/WW Treatment Plants Leader will work closely with the Phoenix Local Leader, Desert Area Leader, other leaders and technical experts in the Phoenix office, Desert Area, and Company as a whole to help lead the development and execution of the Phoenix office business plan and meet company objectives including growth, profitability, and diversification targets.
