Senior Water Resources Engineer or Scientist

Our Florida operations is growing, and we are looking for a senior water resources professional to be based in the Florida office location of your choice (Tampa, Clearwater, Boca Raton, Jacksonville). In collaboration with top professionals in their field, you will work on complex projects involving innovative urban stormwater management and natural surface water systems, including sustainable green infrastructure planning studies, stormwater infrastructure design and infrastructure, innovative water quality improvements, flood mitigation practices, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis including dam breach studies and floodplain mapping, stream restoration, surface water, watershed, and stormwater runoff monitoring/modeling, NPDES permitting support, TMDL regulatory support.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the senior water resources engineer or scientist position include:
- Performing and overseeing detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies;
- Developing innovative green infrastructure solutions for the urban environment;
- Applying innovative hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, from 1-D to 3-D transport models;
- Floodplain mapping and flood protection designs;
- In-stream and urban stormwater water quality monitoring and modeling;
- Field investigations and construction support services;
- Developing construction documents, including engineering drawings and technical specifications;
- Preparing erosion and sediment control designs; and
- Helping broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.

- Training : This position requires health and safety, boater certification, defensive driving certification, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. - Fieldwork: Up to 10%
- Overnight travel: Up to 20%

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in environmental or civil engineering, natural resources science, with emphasis on water resources or closely related discipline. (required)
- Advanced degree in environmental or civil engineering or natural resources science, with emphasis on water resources or closely related discipline. (preferred)
At least 10 years of research or related experience. (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience managing water resources project and teams for municipal, water district, and other water resources industry clients.
- Experience with modeling and design software tools such as ICPR, EPA/XP/PC SWMM, HEC-HMS/RAS, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS. (preferred)
- Professional registration (P.E., P.G., etc.) within state guidelines. (required)
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. (required)
