Job Description
Goodwyn Mills and Cawood, Inc. (GMC), one of the region’s largest privately-held architecture and engineering firms, is seeking a WATER/WASTEWATER/UTILITY DESIGN ENGINEER with 5-10 years’ experience to join our Nashville, Tennessee team. Applicants should be a registered PE with licensure in Tennessee or able to obtain within 1 year. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated engineer to work in a growing office. We are looking for someone who has excellent client interaction skills and can manage and lead planning and design projects for water, wastewater treatment, and utility design projects in Tennessee and other southeastern states.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide technical design on water/wastewater treatment/utility design projects and technical support to the team
- Lead preparation of design calculations and analysis
- Coordinate project schedule and production so projects are completed in a timely manner and within budget
- Lead project team, support staff and coordinate with other disciplines for execution of the project
- Prepare and oversee detailed construction document packages (plans and specifications) and all deliverables for client
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering is required
- At least 5 years of water/wastewater/utility project experience since Bachelor’s degree
- Registration as P.E.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Experience as a leader, mentor, and problem solver with a determination for excellence
