As a Sr. Process Engineer at Innovyze, you will be responsible for scoping out predictive control solutions for Fortune 500 manufacturers and utilities that manage mission critical water infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Leadership - Provide technical leadership, support and mentorship for a team of process engineers, and project managers
- Unblock challenges engineers may face as it relates to customer data, instruments and process design
- Set up and lead teams scrums to drive continuous improvement
- Work with project management team to ensure timely delivery of complex implementation projects
- Technical Analysis - Design, evaluate and implement various advanced process control strategies for water and wastewater treatment systems
- Direct building/calibration of first principle models based on domain knowledge
- Direct/conduct step testing, lab sampling programs for data collection
- Collect and clean large SCADA and lab datasets for exploratory analysis
- Communication - Interface with clients to: Present progress and challenges on modelling activities
- Procure, digest and evaluate customer information - i.e. datasets, P&IDs, schematics and process control narratives
- Storyboard new features for existing technology optimization and new technology development
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master of Engineering - Chemical/Process Engineering or similar field
- 5-7+ years of demonstrable experience in process control, automation and operations projects in various heavy industries (i.e. mining, petrochemicals, food, beverage, municipal water/wastewater)
- Excellent understanding of water/wastewater treatment technology, cooling water systems, etc.
- Understanding of modelling/simulation principles - exposure to industry software (i.e., GPS-X, BioWin, HYSYS)
- Understanding of process control, experience with control narratives and P&IDs

- Willing to learn about new and disruptive technologies such as AI/ML
- Confident and articulate communicator - comfortable presenting technical content to business executives
- Organized, self-driven and capable of managing multiple projects at a time
