Position Overview
Innovyze, an Autodesk Company, is the global leader in building innovative, industry-leading software for the water industry for over 35 years. Innovyze serves thousands of clients including the largest utilities, ENR design firms, consultancies and refining plants around the world.
The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for leading all technical aspects of an Innovyze sales campaign by supporting the internal sales representative and authorized partner teams to directly engage with end users. The Solutions Engineer uses in-depth industry and software knowledge to uncover customer business issues and suggest improvements, thus earning status as a trusted advisor with the customer. This encompasses delivery of the corporate marketing message via product and workflow demonstrations and technical presentations which may occur in small, large and trade show venues. The role works closely with the sales representative to bring customer end user and management personas into alignment in digital transformation strategy as it relates to Innovyze branded software.
Responsibilities
Communicate and connect customer business objectives with Innovyze technology offerings to effectively deliver value messaging by way of marketing messaging a
Communicate product/workflow features and benefits in pre-sales situations. Present Autodesk products to prospective customers in the form of presentations and demonstrations. Presentations may be live, or via web-delivery mechanisms
Study and communicate engineering standards, best-practice and workflow norms from countries APAC as they relate to urban drainage and floodplain management
Partner with Autodesk authorized partners to
Grow, refine, and enhance their presentation abilities
Ensure that Innovyze management is made aware of all relevant technical challenges faced by the product in a partner territory
Participate in local, state and national industry events including those hosted by Innovyze. Participation includes networking, paper presentations, panel discussions and specific product demonstrations
Localise existing and develop new software demonstrations
Participate in the creation of solution configurations such as quotes and proposed scopes of work
Contribute to tender submissions
Minimum Qualifications
Engineering degree in relevant discipline
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Must have thorough understanding of the Australian Rainfall and Runoff guidelines and the Queensland Urban Drainage Manual or similar
Must have experience delivering projects using two or more of the following: InfoWorks ICM, XPSWMM, XPStorm, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, XPRAFTS, WBNM, RORB, Drains, 12D
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Infraworks, Civil3D & Revit is desirable
Demonstrated initiative and ability to drive decisions and get closure on recommendations and issues
Excellent group facilitation skills
Able to travel up to 50% of the time and enjoy working with diverse groups of people with widely variable technical skills
