The West Coast Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing business opportunities within the West Coast territory.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
As a key member of the team, the West Coast Business Development Manager will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Prospect and identify strategic accounts within your geography
- Qualify leads via phone, email, and research
- Serve as the main point of contact between ECT2 customers and ECT2
- Schedule sales appointments with prospects and clients and coordinate meetings, special events (i.e., lunch/learns), and travel with subject matter experts (SME)
- Attend conferences and trade shows to represent ECT2
- Help to develop solutions for your clients by working with and leveraging the extensive technical resources of the ECT2 network and SMEs.
- Facilitate and coordinate quote/proposal/RFP production and delivery to client from initial contact through purchase order
- Maintain positive client relationships and keep them informed of our most current service offerings and capabilities
- Escalate client questions and concerns to management to ensure client satisfaction
- Maintain the company CRM with all leads, opportunities, prospects, customer, etc.
- Meet quarterly sales targets
- Prepare monthly reports highlighting sales, quote activity, pipeline forecast, salient client commentary, and market conditions (identify opportunities and risks)
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as prescribed by the Company

- Proven track record of success in business development for technical services, preferably water treatment technology and environmentally related
- Strong scientific background with the ability to learn and understand technical content
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to listen and problem-solve
- Highly motivated, determined, and target driven
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate well with others inside and outside the company
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Professional demeanor and strong customer-service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Gmail
- Familiarity with CRM best practices
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BS/BA in Chemistry/Sciences, Business Administration, related field, and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years in outside sales experience in technical/scientific services
- Strong sales and marketing skills
- Strong intrapersonal and communication skills
- General understanding of scientific concepts and processes
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
