Technical Practice Leader - Wastewater Treatment

People are our strongest asset. We are looking for a Technical Practice Leader to join our Wastewater Treatment Team. The Technical Practice Leader will advance the wastewater practice across the organization by serving as a thought leader, managing branding, winning strategic pursuits, and building a team focused on excellence.
Essential Functions:
- Industry recognized leader within the Wastewater Treatment Practice actively involved with leadership roles in professional organizations and presenting at conferences and seminars
- Assist Area Leaders in developing and implementing Corporate Strategy within the Wastewater Treatment Practice and serve as technical advisor on projects
- Recruit and hire key talent within the Wastewater Treatment Practice
- Manage the marketing and branding budget across the Wastewater Treatment Practice
- Meet marketing, sales, staff retention, and recruitment metrics for the Wastewater Treatment Practice across the company
- Personal billable target in the range of 40-50%
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Solid understanding of the engineering and science fundamentals related to the Team’s technical area of practice.
- Strong communication skills (writing, active listening, verbal and presenting)
- Excellent time management skills
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering required (Master or PhD degree strongly preferred)
- License or similar accreditation strongly preferred if applicable
- Minimum 12 years, preferably more than 18 years, professional experience in A/E/C industry
- Prior technical group or practice leadership experience preferred
- Prior experience developing business within the practice and growing a technical group strongly preferred
Location: Any PLUMMER office, location negotiable: Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Corpus Christi (Texas); Oklahoma City (Oklahoma); Denver or Durango (Colorado)
