Water/Wastewater Project Manager

RK&K is currently hiring a Water/Wastewater Engineer, Project Manager to lead our environmental efforts out of our new Atlanta, GA area office.  In this role, you will work closely with project managers and other team members in leading evaluation and planning, design and construction services on a variety of water, wastewater projects. 

Essential Functions 

• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and costs estimates for water, wastewater projects 
• Conduct technical evaluations to support planning and design related to water and wastewater systems 
• Prepare and review technical memoranda, engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and miscellaneous contract documents 
• Direct and assist with the development of project staff and subconsultants 
• Facilitate internal/client meetings, presentations and approval of plans 
• Participate in community outreach tasks and business development
• Support field testing and investigations when required 
• Manage construction projects with office engineering services (submittal review, contract document interpretation, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, and change orders) 
• Communicate effectively and coordinate with clients, project teams including other disciplines, such as cost estimators, designers, and other engineers 
• Prepare detailed proposals for engineering services

Required Education, Skills and Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License 
• Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of increasing responsibility with project experience in the study, design, and construction administration of water, wastewater facilities and infrastructure (pipelines, force mains, pump stations, treatment) 
• Must be a self-starter, versatile and interested in working on a variety of projects supporting the Water and Wastewater Group 
• Possess excellent technical writing and communication skills 
• Demonstrate proficiency in the organization and presentation of documentation 
• Be Proficient with Microsoft Professional Suite including Word, Outlook, Project, Excel, Powerpoint and AutoCAD Civil 3D
