About the role:

Reporting to the Specialist Engineering Manager in Engineering and Technical Services, this role will drive the development of modelling, guidelines and specifications that will shape the future of treatment process modelling and performance. This role will identify and introduce standardization and identify new technology to achieve consistent product quality outcomes. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Process Engineer to lead Sydney Water in achieving best practice treatment process engineering and innovation for better customer outcomes

About you

• Degree qualified in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Registered engineer on the NER or able to attain registration.
• Technical specialty in one or more of the unit processes used for Water/ Waste Water Treatment
• Strong analytical skills to identify and gather data for treatment Demonstrated skills in technical report writing, data analysis, standard creation
• Stakeholder management skills in a team environment
• Demonstrated communication and negotiation skills with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to challenge the status quo and influence team members in new ways of working
• Detailed knowledge of product guidelines and quality management systems (Recycled Water, and Drinking Water, wastewater and/or Resource Recovery)
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office application and ability to use customized software packages
• Skills in process modelling (desirable)

Experience

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Water/Process related industry
• Relevant valid driver's licence required.
• Required to work across various SW locations.
• May be required to work on operated Treatment sites which may include environments subject to odour, noise, confined spaces.
