Responsibilities:
Integrate and standardize best safety practices for all chemical distribution and water purification and treatment systems
Understand and apply FMEA concepts to water purification systems for incident prevention
Understand and apply root cause failure analysis to problems
Provide day to day support of operational and maintenance issues on site
Assist and lead in troubleshooting of system operational issues
Manage projects
Complete monthly system operational cost analysis; drive improvement based on analysis
Analyze data to predict utility and chemical usage
Responsible for monitoring current system demands and capacity concerns
Investigate ways to reduce the cost of maintenance
Create and modify maintenance and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Incorporate all improvements and best practices into site specifications and standards
Requirements:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering preferred
5+ years chemical distribution and water purification operations experience
Hazardous Production Material expertise
Professional Engineering license preferred
Strong troubleshooting background and issue resolution
Strong data and system analysis
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Intermediate knowledge of mechanical and chemical engineering principles and systems including pumps, pneumatics, process piping, chemical/material compatibility is a benefit
