Engineer - Water Treatment & Catchment

Put your extensive experience with water treatment and associate qualifications to work coordinating our water treatment processes and management of the Drinking Water Quality Management System to ensure quality targets and regulatory requirements are achieved to maintain public and environmental health associated with Water Treatment.
The position is required to coordinate monitoring, operations, maintenance and performance of:
• Councils Dam, Weirs and Water Treatment Plants.
• Catchment properties.
• Associated facilitates.
What's on offer:
- An attractive base salary ranging from $101,179 per annum with performance based increments up to $112,501 per annum, plus 9.5% super.
- 70 hour, 9 day fortnight.
- 12 months maximum-term placement, with the possibility of extension up to 18 months, or permanency based on operational requirements and performance.

We are seeking:
- Bachelor of Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering or relevant equivalent qualification, and extensive relevant industry experience in water treatment processes and/or wastewater treatment processes.
- Experience and knowledge in chemical and biological processes of water treatment and ability to trouble shoot.
- Competence in the Management of staff.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data and trends.
Where it's located:
This position is based in Tweed Heads, and can be directed to work from any Council work site. The position will require frequent travel to our water treatment plants in Bray Park (Murwillumbah), Uki and Tyalgum.
