MBBR Product Manager-116742

Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. (VWT) is currently seeking a MBBR Product Manager . This position will promote the development of our MBBR technology in existing and new targeted municipal and industrial markets.  This position will be responsible for working closely with our Strategy, Marketing, Sales, Process and AnoxKaldnes teams in order to develop marketing and development strategies, to support and uncover opportunities, and to generate new sales for Veolia.   The geographical area to cover is Canada.  The MBBR Product Manager will report to the VP Strategy, Marketing and Light Industry Sales.

Main responsibilities: 

• Strategic Marketing

  • Identify, understand and analyse all potential MBBR markets (type, size, drivers, attractiveness, market trends…);
  • Identify, understand and analyse all potential MBBR competition (other MBBR suppliers and other alternative technologies);
  • Develop and keep up to date all MBBR battle cards;
  • Develop and keep up to date the regional MBBR competitiveness database. Implies collaborating with the AnoxKaldnes product managers in the US;
  • Maintain VWT Canada’s MBBR reference list;
  • Develop VWT Canada's MBBR value proposition;
  • Investigate and develop VWT Canada's alternative MBBR business models;
  • Update on a yearly basis the existing MBBR development strategy.

• Operational Marketing
  • Promote MBBR in the targeted markets;
  • Deliver presentations in tradeshows/conferences and write articles about AnoxKaldnes MBBR;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Representatives, Consulting engineers and customers;
  • Write win announcements related to AnoxKaldnes products in Canada;
  • Draft templates of MBBR-based proposals emphasizing on the AnoxKaldnes MBBR differentiating advantages.

• Support to Sales and Process teams
  • Provide strategic design advice to the process and tender team for MBBR-based budgetary and firm proposals;
  • Train Sales and Process teams in the use and advantages of the product;
  • Support sales calls or meetings with consulting engineers and end-users in collaboration with the sales and process team representatives;

• Improve, assist in the development of the product line:
  • Maintain close relationship with AnoxKaldnes teams;
  • Follow R&D at AnoxKaldnes and VWT Canada levels (includes implementation of follow-up of Canadian application pilot tests);
  • Obtain and share with AnoxKaldnes the inputs from all VWT Canada departments on return of experience.

• Prepare regular reports on the status of all MBBR projects and products development;
• Follow sales funnels through the Customer Relationship Management system (Skywater).

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge in biological wastewater treatment with a focus on MBBR;
• Great business acumen;
• "Outside of the box” thinking;
• Must have sales support competencies;
• Must have marketing experience;
• Native English speaker. Bilingual French is a plus;
• Must have exemplary communication skills (oral and written);
• Must be organized, problem solver and self-directed;
• Ability to develop and present technical reports, proposals and presentation to a large audience. 
• Bachelor in science degree in engineering or sciences; Master Degree and/or PHD is a plus; Combined with more than 10 years of experience in water treatment;
• Must be a member of an engineering association (PEng) in one of the Canadian provinces
• Computer proficient, including google suite.
