About the role We have a 2 year fixed term opportunity for a Principal Engineer – Water Resource Recovery . Based in our Leederville office, this role will be responsible for undertaking planning, definition, design, commissioning co-ordination and operations services and advice for used water management assets. The role will also support the Water Resource Recovery centre of technical expertise in the delivery of key design guidelines and standards. What the role will offer Undertake and coordinate complex investigations, conceptual planning and financial analysis for assessment, design, development and remedial works of used water management assets Provide and maintain modelling capability in process and hydraulic analysis of used water treatment plants Develop and deliver design standards and manuals for used water management assets Liaise with internal customers, external suppliers, service agencies, consultants, industry regulators and agencies as required, in relation to used water management Expert technical input to continuous review and improvement of quality processes and best practice design and feed into lessons learnt process Opportunity to be part of and enhance the performance of a key technical advisory team
Key skills and experience Degree level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline Considerable experience in and advanced knowledge of design, commissioning, operation and performance analysis of used water management assets, including process and hydraulic modelling Substantial experience in the preparation and review of complex technical reports, design guidelines and engineering standards Sound knowledge of statutory requirements, regulation and national standards associated with design, approval and development of used water management assets
