Director, Strategy Planning & Analysis

The Role: In this role, you will work closely with Applied Water Systems and America’s Commercial Team leadership across the globe and key stakeholders in strategic planning, project management, driving the rhythm of the business and helping our team execute on our unified strategic priorities.

This position also requires extensive cross-group coordination at all levels, strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build compelling internal/external presentations and comprehensive business review materials.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
- Manage a comprehensive rhythm of business, including Senior staff meetings, business reviews, goal deployment and annual strategic planning process to help the business run smoothly and effectively
- Supports the strategic planning process and prepares documents and slides for different audiences such as Senior Leadership, Board of Directors as well as external audiences.
- Works on projects as requested including simplification and transforming activities
- Works across multiple teams, connects the moving parts in a very dynamic and fluid environment
- Drive alignment of stakeholders through excellent communications skills
- Researches, benchmarks, analyses data and makes recommendations
- Define, plan and drive cross-team process improvements (e.g., development of business plans).
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
- 8+ years in finance, project and/or business management
- BS in Business, Finance, or a related field. MBA Preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; Ability to translate ideas into clear, high impact communications
- Strong attention to detail, passion for strategic thinking and problem solving, and ability to deliver rich, business insights to drive decisions
- Systems thinker, able to manage a high degree of complexity and to distill information into simple messages, able to think both strategically at a global level as well as effectively developing key processes
- Exceptional cross-organization coordination and communication skills including ability to build comprehensive and compelling presentation and communication materials that span functions and groups
- Self-starter with strong financial and analytical skills; Ability to maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership on complex business topics
- Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to build trust, influence, and foster relationships with diverse team members; ability to leverage relationships to drive consistency of approach and ensure delivery
- Passion to foster a culture of efficiency, continuous improvement and high performance through initiatives, training & education, and communication
- Strong computer aptitude Microsoft office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint
