Hexavalent chromium is ...

Hexavalent chromium is treated by redox reactions that convert to trivalent chromium in insoluble form. Zerovalent metals are used in the redox reactions. We have developed technology for hexavalent chromium removal from drinking water. The technology is at pilot stage and we could share it.
Off the shelf technology for domestic use would be use of RO technology; but do verify the desired drinking water limits are reached after RO treatment.
Remediation of groundwater is more complex and would involve use of PRB's or pump and treat methods.
