Questions.
- Is the purpose of chlorination, disinfection or any other?
- What is the feasible chlorine form source, in terms of economics, safety and logistics; Cl2 gas, sodium Hypochlorite or calcium Hypochlorite?
- It is important a water analysis and testing chlorination with samples of source water.
- Well water can have iron, manganese and other components that react with chlorine. Also Trihalomethanes might be a concern.
- In absence of information you can use 5 ppm dose value for designing a drinking water. Tha will give you a 200 PPD chlorine gas dosing unit o a 6,24 GPH dosing pump.
