Thank you for all the responses. I'll go ahead an make contacts with the people/organizations that you all provided. 

Ramakar, at this time I do not have any plans for India. 

Jay, yes, I don't think I'll be able to get much done on the ground right now, but the hope would be to plan now for a project to start in the future. I did not realize how bad things were in Nicaragua. So maybe that's somewhere to hold off on for now. 

As far as what type of water project, that's really driven by the need. Water filtration, distribution systems, rainwater harvesting and storage, etc., and also any hygiene and sanitation needs in the community. We try and use simple and appropriate technologies as much as possible.
