Dear MG. To start with all river courses in India are charted  and both lean and flòod flows are duly monitored inneach season etc..

MoEF under GOI..use NRCD to operate and maintain varied elements inbthecwater channels be it be stagnant or flowing streams.

Any willful diversions done are addressed by NGT National Green Tribunal , GOI..
