Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink....
Good question. The issue is that we are depleting and/or contaminating the small amount of easily accessible fresh water. I use the word deplete in reference to aquifers where we are pumping out the water faster than it can be replenished. We are contaminated rivers and lakes to the point where the water is not drinkable.
While water exists at a constant amount, the availability of usable, accessible water is rapidly decreasing.
