Dear Md NS In Finland we have built main STPs for municipalities in 70ties and industrial WWTPs in 80ties. Finland has big area related to low total population. This is why we have created septic sludge receiving facilities at STPs to take the septic sludge from manholes in remote locations to STPs to be treated in activated sludge process. The next step for the excess sludge therfrom is to disinfect it to allow the cake to be taken as fertilizer. Br Paavo V,
