Government water initiatives
Most countries are aware of peak water issues and have begun to implement initiatives to address them. There needs to be a clear distinction between peak water issues and what is now being referred to as the water footprint
Some countries initiatives:
-The EU Water Initative (http://www.euwi.net/about-euwi)
-Australia Water (http://www.environment.gov.au/water/)
-US Environment Protection Agency (http://water.epa.gov/lawsregs/guidance/index.cfm)
-Brazilian National Water Agency (http://www.ana.gov.br/ingles/indexingles.asp)
