Hi Gillian,

I have some experience in tsunami hazard mitigation. We usually use specific nimerical model such as COMCOT or TUNAMI to accommodate tsunami wave propagation as well as run ups and inundation. You can also use MIKE or Dleft 3D or FUNWAVE for comparison.

Just an addition, for tsunami modeling sometimes the computation takes too much time if you need to accommodate several tsunami genration scenario which may not be good for quick mitigation scheme. Therefore some method like building tsunami model database where you store several scenario on the database and re call it whenever needed has been developed by my Supervisor at University (ITB, Indonesia).
