At first, try in literature review from old journals in this region.If not exist try to find any drilled well in the area , and get it from its report if exists. But, if the report doesn't exist so you can ask if you can do pumping tests on it.

Dear sir, any information available should be used.  This includes water levels and quality in wells, bores and streams, geological substrates and any knowledge about aquifers.  It all helps, however having the qualified people to interpret the data is another issue.  Regards, Kevin
