You are probably already addressing this but you should have an  Health & Safety Plan and on-site health and safety officer with continuous monitoring of potentially dangerous levels of gases, like methane and hydrogen sulfide (multi-RAE instrument).  You should also considering ventilating the area continuously with an air flow - be careful to minimize risk of explosion.  In short, you really should have a Health & Safety plan that addresses potential risks and protective measures.
