This has to done with the contamination of soil and it's effects on the ground water. Evaluating environmental soil data for addressing soil contamination’s potential to impact groundwater contamination and quality is an important issue these days. You should carry out the IGW pathway whenever a discharge or potential discharge of a contaminant has occurred in the unsaturated zone.
