Hello Everyone,
does anyone know whether there are any large (industrial) scale membrane bioreactor installations for waste water treatment whose performance is enhanced with the addition of powdered activated carbon? If yes, whereabouts? and what kind of waste waters are being treated? Thank you

Siemens and Saudi Aramco worked together to develop a wastewater treatment system that could treat a very complex refinery wastewater stream that could not be treated by conventional means, you should contact them..
Hi George. I have experience with several projects, including refining and herbicide wastewater treatment applications. Feel free to contact me directly for more information (jeff.peeters@ge.com). Jeff
Hi George Our high performance carrier is first synthetically modified carrier for microbial cell immobilization. We have impregnated the PU foam with activated carbon which provides very high adsorption capacity as well as high internal porosity. Its application in MBR would surely reduce the cleaning frequency and also provides advantages of PAC adding in Activated sludge. The principle benefit is that you dont need to add activated carbon as due to carbon coating on the carrier material and bio degradation of adsorbed pollutants, the surface will be automatically regenerated. Kindly send me an e mail on levapor.india@gmail.com and I will send you more information. Regards Amit
